Our Easter Weekend was great, and we hope yours was as well! We had a cousins party in Fallbrook with an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday at the Garrett's.
Then on Sunday we went to Paul and Amy Frandsen's for Easter Dinner. It was so good seeing them and for our kids to play together.
Thanks to the Frandsen's for a wonderful evening and wonderful food. Seeing the cousins seemed to bring new life to Jan, who had no problems driving home. :) (He was falling asleep driving on the way there.) So good to see you all! Matt and Angela, I am glad you are doing so well. Jan is working back in CA now!!! Hallelujah! I am so excited to see him everyday. And to have Saturdays off!!!!

Too apparent I am trying to keep myself busy this morning? Thanks to all those who are praying for my dad. I will post how it goes later. Keep praying!
My Dad had a triple by-pass today. They say he is doing well. He is having a hard time waking up out of the anesthesia, but hopefully they will pull him out of it tonight and we can see him tomorrow. He'll have to have an angioplasty in a couple of days to finish things off.

Thank you for all of the prayers. We are feeling them. It is so nice at times like this to have the gospel perspective, you know? Atleast I know I'll be with my Dad for Eternity.
Dad had a good and bad day today. He had his first bowl of soup since Monday, which is good. He practically licked the bowl! He has some fluid in his lungs, and can't breath if he lays down. They don't know if they will do the angioplasty in the morning or not, he can't lay down at all as of tonight, much less for the 6 hours afterwards you have to lay.
Keep up the prayers! Thanks to all of you!
Sorry, I'm tired. He would have to lay flat on his back for 6 hours after the angioplasty. Hopefully they can do something about the fluid tonight/morning to see if they can relieve the shortness of breath and panicking. His weezing seemed to get much better as the day went on today and as they gave him treatments. Hopefully tomorrow will go well.
No Angioplasty today. They are going to do an echo-cardiogram this morning, and see if they can figure out the fluid. Dad is disoriented at night. We thought it might be the perkiset (sp?), but they didn't give it to him last night and he was still disoriented. They also think he has sleep apnea.
Dad is doing much better. He is sitting in a chair, is fully cognisant of what is going on, and is eating full meals. We are so excited. Looks like the positive side of recovery has started! Thank you for all of the concern and prayers!!

christene: i'm glad to hear your father is doing better. trouble lying down for that long is scary. he went through some life-threatening times the last few weeks. i hope he continues to improve!
