So, I already blogged about June.  Just imagine 4 kids, a cat and a dog in a hotel room for 2 weeks.  Yep, that about covers the month of June which I would gladly forget.

The good news is that we are getting settled in to our home and community.  Garrett has been bugging us FOREVER to play football.  I am kind of against it, but the boy is persistent, our neighbor knew the head coach of our league, and it costs a LOT less than in Cali.... so......

 This is Garrett at his first football camp.  Go Kyle Invaders!!!

 Garrett doesn't really have a clue about the game.  He doesn't know any of the rules or lingo, but I'll tell you he left his heart on the field.  I was amazed that he hustled the entire time, paid attention, and loved every minute of it.

 Knocking over the bag and finding the ball and smothering it was his favorite drill.

 I only took pictures one night.  The camp lasted 3 nights.  6-8 pm.  At least 100 degrees each night.  After the second night I asked him how practice went.  His reply?  "Outstanding!"  Guess I better get ready for the Friday night lights.

 Unfortunately this month also had its bummers.  Kaile's cat, Princess Leia, went missing.  Jan accidentally didn't latch the back door and this darn Austin wind blew it open and out went the cat.  Now she was an indoor/outdoor cat in Fallbrook, but we thought we would make her an indoor cat for now.  This is the most amazing cat.  When we were gone to Rexburg for 6 months and Jan's parents fed her outside for awhile, I thought for sure she would be gone or wouldn't care about us.  When we got back, the first thing Kaile did was go in the gate and whistle.  The cat came running and jumped in her arms.  Those two have a special relationship.  You can imagine how torn up we all were.

 This is Kaile whistling for her cat.   She sat for hours at a time on the back fence calling and looking.  She walked the field behind us some, but we have rats and snakes back there, so she mostly just called.

 Isn't she pretty?  She even dared to smile for me.  Her cat was gone for 4 or 5 days.  We had visited the pound....  and to tell you the truth, I was sure a coyote had finished her off. (Don't tell Kaile)

 and then one night, Jan went to change the sprinkler, and there she was.  Dehydrated and hungry, and didn't know who Jan was she was so out of it.  It took Jan catching her many times before he finally got her inside.  She drank for about 10 minutes straight, ate, then went to find Kaile in bed.  What an ecstatic family!!!  Thank you Heavenly Father for hearing our prayers!

Can you believe it has only been a year since Ty was in the hospital???  Amazing how time flies....

Now we only have a couple more weeks to wait for this one.  I had an ultrasound last week.  So fun to see the baby again.  We'll keep you posted!

Update time (May 2011)

Our Spring was mostly filled with Baseball.  Jan coached Garrett's team this year.  He did a great job and loved it.

 Can you tell what we still need to work on???  It was fun showing him pictures to prove he isn't watching the ball. :)

 We also got to go on a Butterfly fieldtrip.  The kids all had fun and learned a lot.  Unfortunately they split my kids up, so this is the only picture I took of Kaile or Garrett.....

 May also brought us a birthday girl!  Claire turned 6!  For days she would wait in her room to see if we were going to bring breakfast in, just encase that day was her birthday.  She is so cute.

 She received a new sheet/comforter set for her new bed when we got to Texas!

 She also requested cupcakes at school, so Mommy did just that.  Ran to the store to buy yucky cupcakes because you can't take anything homemade anymore.  She loved it, so I guess that is all that matters.

 What a lucky girl!  I hope her birthday was as fun as she was anticipating!

Mother's Day 2011

 The kids and I made these fun aprons for the Nanas.  Each of the kids put their handprints on them and wrote their name.  We told the "Nanas" they had to wear them often so they could get hugs from the kids since we were moving far away.

Before the end of school we had awards assemblies and class plays.  Claire's class sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Claire's request.  haha  She has such a way about her, this little songbird.

 Thank you to Papa Peterson for putting up with a long day and attending with us.  Garrett's class play was fun.  His teacher always does such a good job.

Kaile and two of her friends also had the opportunity to sail on a tall ship for a couple of days with Nana Peterson's class.

 It is called the Spirit of Dana Point.

 Ty and I even got to climb aboard for a few minutes and check it out, see the captains quarters and where the kids will stay.  Here Nana Peterson shows Ty how to steer.

 And they are off!  They had a wonderful few days on the open ocean.

And this is some of the cousins.  I'm glad my kids have lots of family to look up to.

A going away party picture should go here.... but I didn't take one.  I will see if I can get one from someone else soon.  Thank you to all of our dear friends who have made our stay in Fallbrook so wonderful.  We will dearly miss you!!!!!
