After Thanksgiving . . .
We were able to go to temple square the day after Thanksgiving to see it light up. We waited and waited outside . . . and got colder and colder . . . then we finally went in to the visitors center to warm up, and everything turned on. Oh well :) It was beautiful none the less. The nativity on temple square. They had a recording that goes with the Nativity, and different spotlights shine on different things during the story. This is Ginny's fiance's father and mother. They loved the kids and were instantly teaching them to say "Abuelo and Abuela." It was fun to watch Santiago play peek-a-boo with Claire. She adored him. And Abuela just couldn't get enough hugs! This is Kaile "working" in Ron's smoothie/pretzel shop. We went there to eat dinner, and we were waiting for Ginny to finish closing the store.
This is Ginny in the pretzel shop! These are just some random pics of my kids painting. (Thanks Nana Roberts for the figurines!)
Love the temple square pics. I'm hoping to get there with the kiddos when we're in Utah... probably won't be before Christmas, though. Good thing they leave it up until the New Year.
And looks like some fun time with Ron's family. I love that your kids took to them so well... that had to be fun. And it is fun to have a picture to go with the pretzel/smoothie shop.
They don't actually know that Ron and Ginny are engaged. They just saw them kiss for the first time recently, and they didn't even know they were dating up to that point. Jan really slipped the night we were there. Ron's mom was talking about grandkids and Jan blurted "Ginny will make you some good ones!" I just about died. Of course, he was oblivious. :)
